James E Williams
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our Cold War shipmate James E Williams, MT2(SS). He qualified on the USS Atule (SS-403) in 1965. He was qualified 51 years and joined the Holland Club in 2015. He also served on Simon Bolivar SSBN-641 and John C Calhoun SSBN-630. Williams James Edgar Williams, age 70, of Canal Winchester, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 2, 2016. U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the SubVets in Columbus. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Lancaster Community Band. Retired from the Limited Brands. Preceded in death by parents James Frederick and Vivian Williams. Survived by his loving wife, Elaine; son, Robert (Heather) Flanagan; sister, Gwen Williams (Gary Morrison); one niece and one great niece. Arrangements by ORWOODYARD Funeral Home (Groveport).
Columbus Base will make a $100.00 donation to the USSVI Scholarship Fund in James Williams memory.
